Ugh

I've been watering all my trees and flowers about every other day.  Nothing grew in the veggie garden so I've given up on that.  But I have to remember that there are other bushes and flowering plants on the outside of the garden fence.  I need to water them, too.  I dug up some kind of green plant that took over my front bed.  I got the plant as a baby from one of the garden club ladies. It must have like that spot because it grew to 3 foot high and 3 foot wide.  I had to get it out of there, it looked terrible.  In the next few weeks I'm going to separate the daffadils and irises and move them to the north hill.  The bearded irises that I moved last fall are doing great over there.  I'm going to put weed and feed on the front hill so maybe I can get some grass growing out there.
Good luck to me.

Life Happens

I've decided not to have a vegetable garden next year.  It's just to much work for my schedule.  I'm going to work on getting the soil better.  After I harvest what did grow this year, I'm going to mow down everything, put down newspapers cover it with straw then bring in some soil that I'm going to buy at Pioneed sand.  I want to build another raised bed, too. (If I can talk Larry into helping).
Today, I worked on the flower bed and dug up some huge plant that I'm not sure what it was.  I used the grass scissors and cut around all the young trees and the daffadils I transplanted last year.  They are doing great on the hill by the trees.  I'm going to dig up the irises and daffadils in the front bed and put them on the hill.
I'm hoping to dig up the potentilla plants this week if I have any free time.  They aren't doing very good where they are at right now.
I want to dig up the pine bush something or other that is on the corned of my flower bed.  It's got a wild grape vine invading it.  Not sure what I'm going to do with it.
It's getting colder every night.  I wonder if we will have anymore high warm ups.
